WISCONSIN RAPIDS RAFTERS

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters baseball club is accepting applications for a Director of Media Relations and Radio Broadcaster.

This position will manage all day-to-day media relations duties and act as the traveling secretary on all road trips as well. This is a seasonal position beginning in May 2017 and ending in mid-August. Seasonal wages are available. The candidate will serve as the full-time radio broadcaster, traveling with the team during the season. The candidate will also serve as media relations liaison while also acting as the traveling secretary on all road trips with the team.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Write press releases promoting team initiatives including, daily pre-game stories, and post-game recaps for the team website.
* Coordinate and maintain press box and broadcast booths
* Compile daily stat packs
* Broadcast all 72 games on WFHR AM 1320

The Green Bay Bullfrogs of the Northwoods League are accepting applications for a Broadcaster/Media Relations Professional.

Successful candidate will receive a travel and housing stipend.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Media Relations/Radio Broadcaster Duties
* Write press releases, daily pre-game stories, and post-game recaps
* Daily stat packs for position players and pitchers
* Coordinate media requests for players, coaches, etc.
* Work closely with Field Manager and front office to make sure all player contracts and NWL requirements are met prior to players playing in games
* Coordinate aspects of team travel including notifying restaurants, hotels, and other teams, getting team orders, room assignments, etc.

The North Adams SteepleCats are looking for a Play-by-Play Broadcaster and Media Relations Assistant to serve as the voice of one of the country’s premier collegiate summer baseball organizations. Our mission is simple, to provide the best summer baseball experience in America and to provide our fans the best summer family entertainment available anywhere. A critical aspect to achieving this is providing a way for our fans to enjoy every game both in and out of the ballpark. To achieve this, all games are broadcast with audio and video over the internet. The organization operates similar to a professional minor league franchise, with an average of more than 1,000 fans per night and many more over the internet. If you would like to join our organization and add your creative and positive talents to the team while gaining valuable experience working in a first-class organization, please keep reading!

The SteepleCats Broadcaster will be responsible for managing the online broadcasting duties and assist in media relations duties for the organization and will need to be qualified for the following:
-Production of written content in a variety of formats
-Media guide
-Press releases
-Game day program
-Public address scripts
-Biographical write-ups for each player
-Player and Pitcher of the Week Award press releases
-Post Game Recap
-Post-season Articles
-Feature articles for media guide
-Ability to troubleshoot issues when broadcasting independently
-Ability to collaborate and broadcast with opposing team’s broadcasters
-Player and coach interviews
-Posting of web-based content (YouTube interviews, updates on team website, etc.)
-Press box preparation prior to each game
-Contributing to social media presence
-Must possess solid experience broadcasting athletic events (baseball preferred)
-Ability to serve as both color commentator and play-by-play broadcaster
-Research contest participants in preparation for the game

The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) is a summer baseball league for college age players who are currently enrolled in a college or university in good academic standing with aspirations to become a professional baseball player. The NECBL is made up of 12 organizations residing in each of the New England states.

The North Adams SteepleCats is a not-for-profit entity that depends entirely on community support and volunteers for its operation. Its Board of Trustees is comprised of local community investors, who support the team with generous donations, and other members of the community representing a broad cross section of the Northern Berkshires. The team is supported by the city of North Adams, Mountain One Bank as Presenting Sponsor and over 100 additional businesses.

EMPLOYMENT DATES
Satellite: May 1 - May 27
On Site: May 27 - August 15

LIVING ARRANGEMENTS
Local area lodging, cable internet, and television will be provided at no charge. You will be responsible for your meals and transportation to and from the stadium.

COMPENSATION
Internship will pay $1,000, lodging accommodations and post-game meals. We are also more than happy to work with your college or university to ensure you receive credit for your commitment to our organization and your responsibilities. Interns may also be invited to selected activities and events with the team and coaching staff throughout the season, which are paid for by the organization.

REQUIREMENTS
Attendance at all 44 regular season games, all post-season home games, and exhibition games is required. Also required: attention to detail; ability to take instructions and complete them accurately; ability to communicate with colleagues and staff; be able to think on your feet and adjust quickly in a fast-pace environment; and be willing to take ownership of your responsibility.

Broadcaster/Director of Media Relations, Newport Gulls

The Newport Gulls, six-time champions of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, are now accepting applications to be the team’s 2017 Broadcaster and Director of Media Relations.

In addition to broadcasting up to 50 games throughout the summer, the position entails managing a staff of media interns and crew members to produce what is widely considered the premier summer collegiate baseball broadcast and media operation in the country. While solid on-air broadcast skills are critical, applicants to the position must also demonstrate strong writing, editing, and social media skills in managing the team’s day-to-day media operations from May through August.

Among the duties the Broadcaster and Director of Media Relations is responsible for include:

* Lead play-by-play broadcaster for 22 regular season home games, and color and play-by-play broadcaster for 22 away games, plus all playoff games and exhibitions, appearing on local access television, several New England radio stations, and streaming via paid video and free audio broadcasts on the NECBL Broadcast Network.
* Managing, training, and developing a staff of up to seven media interns, including a Team Publicist, Official Scorer, Social Media Coordinator, public relations interns, and broadcast operations interns.
* Under the direction of the Director of Broadcast Operations, working with existing staff and volunteers to produce high-quality, multi-camera video productions of all home games, including 30-minute pregame shows, 20-minute postgame shows, commercial spots, and other associated broadcast coverage, while working closely with and training field reporters and/or assistant broadcasters.
* In collaboration with the Team Publicist, writing/editing media releases, game recaps, and feature stories to promote the team, both for distribution and for content on social media and the team website.
* Managing and frequently updating the team’s official website and social media accounts throughout the season, and directing and coordinating staff access, ensuring consistency and reach of messaging.
* Working with team marketing, public relations, and baseball operations staff to ensure cross-promotion and ultimate success of team events, promotions, sponsored nights, and special projects.
* Regular collaboration with official team photographers and videographers to publish content.
* Content development and copy editing of team marketing materials, including the annual team Media Guide, promotional materials, player biographies, and team card sets.
* Coordination of press coverage for games and events, and professionally answering all inquiries from local print, radio, and television media, as well as visiting team media and broadcasters.
* Additional related duties as may be delegated by the General Manager.

The position reports directly to the General Manager and Board of Directors, with additional supervision by and collaboration with the Director of Baseball Operations and Director of Broadcast Operations.

The Newport Gulls Broadcaster and Director of Media Relations position is unpaid, and is designed to provide significant capstone experience to a candidate seeking a career in baseball broadcasting and media relations. Housing is not provided; however, travel to all road games, and meals at all home and road games are covered. The successful candidate will be expected to balance and complete multiple simultaneous tasks on deadline with minimal supervision, while also managing and training a media support team to collectively achieve the organization’s goals. As such, candidates with existing baseball and/or summer collegiate media experience – including college seniors and recent graduates – will receive strong consideration. Applicants should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and desire to grow and learn in a challenging, fast-paced sports media and broadcast environment.

Video Producer Internship – Northwoods League

The Northwoods League is now accepting applications for the 2017 season. The Northwoods League is the largest Summer Collegiate Baseball League in the world, playing and webcasting over 700 games from late May through mid-August. The Northwoods League Studio in Rochester MN is the center of the webcasting operation overseeing webcasts from 20 stadiums across the Midwest. The NWL Studio also produces daily Pre-Game shows along with 30 minute programs that air across the Midwest and on Fox Sports North and Fox Sports Wisconsin.

Ideal Applicant(s) - College Students who are seeking a career in the area of Sports Journalism and Television Production with a special interest in Baseball. The internships run from May 15 to August 30. This is a fantastic opportunity to be directly involved with every aspect of the production process. The ideal candidate will have experience Researching, Producing, Shooting, Writing and Editing stories. Experience working with audio and lighting is essential in order to ensure clean, usable footage from every shoot. Experience with Social networking is encouraged but not required. As part of this position we are also looking for on-air talent to host and/or co-host our broadcast programs.

This is an intense experience, you will use everything you have learned in school while learning how to work in the real world of television production. Job Requirements
  • All applicants must have experience editing with either Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere. Please provide samples of work you have done by way of a link to a Vimeo or Youtube video. Along with each video please explain exactly what you did in the creation of that video.
    Experience shooting video and recording audio in the field such as interviews with supporting B roll footage and sports action.
    Experience with studio production, familiarity with Cameras, Switchers, Audio Mixers, Teleprompters, Lighting etc.
    Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    Must be willing to learn new things and have the flexibility to wear many hats.
    Must have a positive attitude, great communication skills and the ability to solve problems on the fly.
    Must be organized and detail oriented.

Broadcaster, Bismarck Larks Baseball

The Bismarck Larks, a new team in the Northwoods summer collegiate baseball league, is accepting applications from college students to be their play-by-play broadcaster.

Start Date: Early May 2017

End Date: Late August 2017

Every Bismarck Larks game will be broadcasted live (audio and video) over the Internet through an upgraded hi-definition and extensive 4-camera video production setup. The team will have 36 home games and 36 away games during the regular season, beginning late May thru mid-August.

Compensation: Local housing (apartment), travel to all 36 away games (team bus), Pre-game meal (home games), post game meal (away games)

The Upper Valley Nighthawks of the New England Collegiate Baseball League is accepting applications for the position of Director of Media Relations/Play-by-Play Broadcaster.

This position will manage all day-to-day media relations duties and act as the traveling secretary on all road trips as well. The candidate will serve as the full-time internet broadcaster on the NECBL broadcast network and also get to broadcast select games on the local ESPN radio station affiliate. This is a seasonal position beginning in June 2017 and ending in mid-August.

* Coordinate and maintain press box and broadcast booths on game day

College Baseball Play-by-Play, Chillicothe, MO

KCHI Radio in Chillicothe, MO is seeking applications for summer baseball play by play announcer. This is for our broadcast of approximately 40 games during June and July for the Chillicothe Mudcats in the Mink League.

The qualified person will travel with the team, and eat with the team on away games. Every game is also broadcast on the KCHI web site. This position includes a weekly coach’s interview, pre-game interview, and post- game wrap-up. Compensation is $40.00 per game. You will need to reside in Chillicothe during June and July, housing will be furnished by the Mudcats organization. You must have dependable transportation with a reliable vehicle.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be expected to deliver exceptional play-by-play for all 72 baseball games and become the voice for MoonDogs fans worldwide, including home and away games. In addition, they will be responsible for media relations, and expected to help with press box and ballpark operations on occasion.
