Play-by-Play, Alliance of American Football -- FILLED BY STAA MEMBERS (3)

#1 Post by Jon Chelesnik » Wed Oct 24, 2018 2:54 pm

A team in the new Alliance of American Football tells STAA they are accepting applications for a radio play-by-play broadcaster. It is not the Orlando franchise, whose opening has already been published.

The position description, the name of the team and contact information has already been emailed to STAA members.

Another AAF team tells STAA they already have their radio voice lined up.

We have also contacted each of the other five franchises. When he have their permission, we will be sharing application instructions and contact info with STAA members.

If you're not an STAA member and want AAF play-by-play job info, join STAA now and we'll send it to you.

One of the openings that was sent to STAA members was the Birmingham Iron. They have now closed the application process and tell us they are close to hiring their broadcasters.

Last Thursday, STAA members were sent contact info for two more AAF openings.

The first AAF broadcasting position has been filled by an STAA member. Congratulations to Jeff Munn. The former member of the Diamondbacks radio team and the current voice of ASU women's hoops is the voice of the Arizona Hotshots!

I know this is TV news in the radio part of our job board, but I'm keeping all the AAF stuff together.

The Alliance of American Football has signed media deals with Turner Sports and the NFL Network. In March, the AAF agreed to have CBS carry the opening game on Feb. 9 and the championship game in April, with CBSSN carrying one game per week.
