A Advanced Class-A team is seeking a Media Relations/Broadcasting intern for the 2015 season.

This internship will include play-by-play (and possible color commentary) opportunities for the right candidate. It also requires a person with an exceptionally positive attitude and strong work ethic who desires to learn about and assist with multiple aspects of a minor league operation.

Internship Description:
* Assist the Director of Broadcasting in the production and distribution of
statistical packets, game notes, box scores, and the writing and publishing of game recaps, press releases, and other content. We’re looking for someone with very strong written communication skills.
* Learn about the production and execution of a live game broadcast, including radio play-by-play,
game interviews, etc. There will be the opportunity for 3 innings per home game of play-by-play, with possible color commentary as well.
* Learn and assist when needed in the game night execution from the press area. This could include, but is not limited to radio, official scoring, scoreboard operation, and other possible fill-in duties as needed.
* Learn and assist with social media, web site updates, possible blog postings, and possible short video segments (video production experience is a plus, but not a requirement).
* Assist in the pre-game preparation of the Stadium including the hanging of banners and other miscellaneous ballpark operations tasks.
* rovide great customer service to fans.
* Represent the ball club in a professional manner at all times.
* Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Director of Broadcasting, Director of Ballpark Operations, and the General Manager

Time Requirement:
The Media Relations/Broadcasting Internship position will run from Mid-February 2015 through the end of the playoffs (typically through the end of September). The position requires attendance at all home games during this period, and office hours when the team is on the road as well.

Salary:
This is an unpaid internship, but housing (minus utilities) will be provided. College credit is available in cooperation with your college.
