STAA duo gets Texas Tech fill-in

Texas-Tech(January 23, 2013) (January 23, 2013) Learfield Sports has chosen a pair of STAA clients to fill-in on play-by-play for Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball’s upcoming trip to Florida.

Kyle Larson will broadcast games in Orlando on February 22nd, 23rd and 24th versus Troy, Central Florida and Connecticut. Mike Levine will call games in Miami on the 25th and 26th against Florida International.

It is the latest of many times over the years that Learfield has used STAA to find talent for major college play-by-play broadcast positions.

“STAA allows me to find fill-in talent quickly,” says Learfield Sports Broadcast Manager Tom Boman. “I can search their site by state and find talent close to where I need them. I can easily listen to their demos and decide who is the right fit. It saves me an incredible amount of time and I know I can trust Jon’s insight on those I choose.”

A 2011 graduate of the University of Kansas, Larson is the play-by-play voice for basketball, softball, volleyball and soccer at Flagler University in St. Augustine, FL. He joined STAA in 2012.

Levine has been a sports update anchor, reporter and play-by-play broadcaster at WQAM in Miami since 2007. He is a founding member of STAA, having been with the company since it’s inception.
