Rawlings moving to sports, joins Louisville TV station

“Tony(December 17, 2013) After spending the past two years in TV news, Tony Rawlings was hoping his next broadcasting job would be in sports. Mission accomplished. An STAA client, Rawlings is joining CN2 Sports in Louisville as a multi-media journalist.

CN2 is Channel 2 in Time Warner Cable’s Louisville, Northern Kentucky, Lexington, Evansville and Bowling Green markets. It’s a perfect fit for Rawlings, whose been living in Lexington.

A 2010 graduate of Ohio University, Rawlings gained considerable sportscasting experience on both the campus TV and radio stations. He accepted his first job at WNCT-TV in Greenville, NC where he spent 16 months as a bureau reporter. However his heart was in sports.

After joining STAA in May, Rawlings immediately asked for suggestions on the portfolio package he was sending to employers. “I’m glad to say that the advice [STAA] gave me about my resume, demo reel and cover letter helped me land the job,” Rawlings says with a smile.
