The Purcellville Cannons, a member of the Virginia-based collegiate summer Valley Baseball League, seek a young talented play-by-play/color-commentary baseball broadcaster and media-production assistant for a two-month internship.
Candidate should have a thorough knowledge of baseball and some on-microphone experience calling live baseball games at the high school level or above.
Candidate would serve as No. 2 broadcaster in radio booth for at least 21 home games from late May until late July, working alongside a national radio talent.
Road-game broadcasts and No. 1 duties as available.
Other duties may include, but may not be limited to, writing and submitting post-game recaps to the league and various local media outlets, social media and conducting/recording pre- and post-game interviews with coaches and players.
Housing accommodation available with local host family.. College credit available.
