The UNCW Seahawks, an NCAA Division I institution competing in the Colonial Athletic Association, are searching for a versatile radio play-by-play and color commentator for the upcoming 2019 season.

UNCW has won five CAA championships, including the 2018 title, and appeared in nine NCAA Regionals under 27-year Head Coach Mark Scalf.

This position begins in early February and runs through the CAA Championship in May. It pays a modest stipend, but can also be used for college credit.

Audio is married with the Seahawk Digital Network video feed and also carried on local ESPN Radio affiliate in Wilmington, N.C.

Responsibilities include:

* Provide play-by-play and color at all home games
* Lead announcer for selected road games
* Work with Seahawk Digital Network personnel on production of games

Required Skills:

* Proven experience doing play-by-play for baseball games
* Ability to work long hours, including weekends
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness to assist where needed
