The Biloxi Shuckers, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, are searching for a Media Relations and Broadcasting Assistant for the 2019 season.

Supervisor: Garrett Greene, Media Relations Manager and Broadcaster
Start date: Mid-January, 2019 (willing to be flexible for the right candidate) End date: End of the season (early/mid-September, depending on playoffs) Compensation: TBA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


* Producing and distributing game notes, stat packs and lineups daily.
* Writing game recaps, feature stories for the Shuckers Game Day program and articles for the
Shuckers website.
* Help in writing press releases for roster moves and various club news.

Media Relations

* Assist with all media relations efforts including issuing press releases, accommodating interview
requests, administering media credentials, as well as other media information and related duties.
* Run and maintain the MGM Park press box.
* Coordinate with Southern League teams to aid in the execution of the 2019 Southern League All-
Star Game at MGM Park.
* Assist with social media.
* Help with content and production of a once a month Shuckers television show.


* Host the Shuckers Radio Pregame show and assist with Postgame.
* Play-by-play for three innings during 70 Shuckers home games.
* Postgame interview on the field for in-house and radio broadcast.
* Work as radio board operator for 70 Shuckers road games.
* Edit video highlights from Shuckers home games and post to website.
* Edit and produce audio elements, including highlights, interviews, commercials & radio imaging.

Candidates should:

* Be willing to work with entire front office to assist in the day-to-day operation of the Shuckers,
not just media relations/broadcasting.
* Have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator).
* Possess strong writing and verbal skills.
* Have play-by-play and media relations experience.
* Be willing to learn, work hard, handle multiple projects at once and maintain a good attitude.

Congratulations to STAA member Andrew Chapman, the No. 2 in Biloxi this season. It's an all-STAA booth with Andrew and Garrett Greene.
