Media Relations & Broadcasting Asst., Biloxi Shuckers -- FILLED BY STAA MEMBER

The Biloxi Shuckers, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, are searching for a Media Relations and Broadcasting Assistant for the 2022 season.

Supervisor: Garrett Greene, Media Relations Manager and Broadcaster
Start date: January, 2022 (willing to be flexible for the right candidate)
End date: End of the season (late-September)
Compensation: TBA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Writing:

* Producing and distributing game notes, stat packs and lineups daily.
* Writing game recaps, feature stories for the Shuckers Game Day program and articles for the Shuckers website.
* Help in writing press releases for roster moves and various club news.

Media Relations:

* Assist with all media relations efforts including issuing press releases, accommodating interview requests, administering media credentials, as well as other media information and related duties.
* Run and maintain the MGM Park press box.
* Help with the production of the 2022 Biloxi Shuckers Media Guide.
* Assist with social media.

Broadcasting:

* Host the Shuckers Radio Pregame show and assist with Postgame.
* Play-by-play for three innings during 69 Shuckers home games.
* Postgame interview on the field for in-house and radio broadcast.
* Work as radio board operator for 69 Shuckers road games.
* Edit video highlights for social media and website.
* Edit and produce audio elements, including highlights, interviews, commercials & radio imaging.

Candidates should:

* Be willing to work with the entire front office to assist in the day-to-day operation of the Shuckers, not just media relations/broadcasting.
* Have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator).
* Possess strong writing and verbal skills.
* Have play-by-play and media relations experience.
* Be willing to learn, work hard, handle multiple projects at once and maintain a good attitude.

* Any other relevant material to showcase what a candidate can bring to this position.
