The Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL are accepting applications for a Broadcasting/Media Relations Professional.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Performs all play by play for home and away hockey games
* Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all news media for effective placement of story ideas
* Coordinates and organizes interviews for hockey personnel and facility representatives for an array of media requests
* Writes press releases, public service announcements, and other materials promoting the hockey team
* Sells radio advertising for broadcasts
What You Need for this Position:
* Ability to communicate well, both written and orally
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the media, advertisers, users, employees, and the general public
* Ability to plan, organize, and implement advertising and publicity programs
* Ability to prepare effective reports
* Ability to work long, irregular hours as dictated by programming
* Four-year degree in public relations, mass communications, journalism, or related fields
* Three years of responsible experience in a public relations and/or broadcasting capacity
* Demonstrated sales ability
* Combined education/experience may be evaluated to meet minimum requirements
