FOX34 News in Lubbock, TX is accepting applications for a Sports Anchor/MMJ.
Candidate must have proven news-gathering, writing, editing and video skills. Responsibilities include producing and anchoring Sports Overtime weekend sports show; fill-in sports anchoring through the week; shooting, writing and editing local sports; and working as a multi-media journalist to cover pre-planned and breaking news.
Lubbock is a busy sports market, with a focus on college and high school athletics. This includes covering Texas Tech and the Big 12. Our sports team, in just the past year, traveled to multiple road football games, conference tournaments, the Final Four/National Championship and College World Series. We also collaborate with the two sports radio stations in our building, 100.7 The Score and Double T 97.3, the flagship station for Texas Tech Athletics.
