KFDA-TV in Amarillo, TX has an opening for a sports anchor/reporter.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to report on local sports from inside our area. KFDA, Newschannel10 is home to the new AA Baseball team, The Amarillo Sod Poodles, a feeder into the San Diego Padres, several college and university level teams as well as ice hockey, arena football and much more.

General responsibilities:

* Anchor sports segments in a clear, energetic and informative manner.
* Enterprise ideas to cover local sports and tell interesting stories.
* Conduct interviews in the field and on-set
* Engage with audience on branded social media pages
* Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality
* Make public appearances on behalf of the station
* Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

The KFDA Sports Director is Ralph Cooper Jr. (U. of Illinois). He's been at the station almost two years.

Reporter Kayla Price (U. of South Carolina). Joined the station last year.

Congrats to Evan Abramson, the new sports anchor/reporter at NewsChannel 10 KFDA in Amarillo, TX. He recently graduated from the University of Central Florida.
