The University of Jamestown (NAIA), located in Jamestown, ND, is seeking applicants for a Sports Information Graduate Assistant.

A graduate assistant position at the University of Jamestown offers the successful applicant a path towards a professional career.

The successful candidate will assist the Sports Information Director in providing play-by-play commentary for the University’s sports webcasts along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements include a familiarity with college sports. Strong grasp of English language and ability to speak coherently and professionally while maintaining objectivity throughout the broadcast. Will be responsible for conducting pregame research for each broadcast, interviews with coaches and student-athletes, and Willingness to learn on the fly. Must be available for the majority of fall, winter, and spring sports; including evenings and weekends.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and must be accepted into University of Jamestown graduate school. Applicants should have strong oral and written communication skills. Previous experience with Production Truck/Wirecast software is a plus. Additional experience in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office software is preferred but not requires. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram) to promote news and events accordingly.
