Flood Communications in Sidney (KSID-FM and KSID-AM) has an immediate opening for a part-time play-by-play announcer for high school sports in the southern Nebraska Panhandle. Opportunities include football, volleyball, and basketball. Plus, American Legion Baseball in the summer.
The successful candidate should also be able to contact activities directors to set-up broadcast plans, reach out to area coaches to obtain information for the broadcast, put together preview and postgame stories (with photos and/or video) for air on radio, web and News Channel Nebraska television.
Knowledge of and ability to operate broadcasting equipment, including TieLine is helpful, but willing to train the right candidate. We're looking for a knowledgeable sportscaster who will engage the audience, be active in the sports community, build on the successes of the station and take our sports coverage to the next level.
This position is in Sidney, Nebraska. Broadcasting nights would primarily be Tuesday and Friday nights, with the occasional Thursday and Saturday.
