STAA to Honor Nation's Top Collegiate Sportscasters

Collegiate sports broadcasting now has its version of the Heisman Trophy. Starting this year, STAA will present the annual Jim Nantz Award to the nation's outstanding collegiate sports broadcaster.

The award is the centerpiece of STAA's new sports broadcasting All-America program.

"The aim of the STAA All-America program is to encourage collegiate sportscasters nationwide to strive to achieve their professional best," says STAA CEO Jon Chelesnik.

When is the deadline for submissions?

I know it says that the first top 20 will be released on March 31st and the award will be handed out in June, but when is the latest a demo can be submitted and still get consideration for the top 20 and Jim Nantz Award?

Hi Joe. We haven't set a hard deadline for accepting submissions. The sooner the better, but I would imagine we'll take submissions until the end of May.
