FM transmission inside the stadium?

#1 Post by jwr37 » Wed Nov 12, 2008 11:29 am

Hello everybody. Quick question. I'm planning on doing baseball webcasts. Is there a piece of hardware that you can buy that will translate your broadcast to an FM signal that can be heard inside the stadium?

I think what Joe is looking for is an FM over-the-air transmitter....

Look for the FM35BWT and the FM25B. For some reason Ramsey doesnt list the FM25BWT (WT=wired and tested as in it's already built for you).

These are sold as hobby kits that you build and put together yourself, but if you call them they may still have or can make a WT box for you.

The next step is the antenna. You will not get far with the standard silver telescoping antenna. Look for the TM100, it's a 300 ohm transmitting antenna with a coaxial output that is perfect for most all arena sports.

The best I've found, at a reasonable price can be obtained by contacting Russell Deese at gridirongab@yahoo.com Check with him. The units are easy to use and sound great.

I've used this http://www.mobileblackbox.com/ with mixed success: pretty good indoors (limited facility) pretty weak outdoors (larger facility).
