Jordan McKamey(September 1, 2015) Jordan McKamey is a radio jack-of-all-trades. He’ll be utilizing his entire repertoire of skills in his new job at AM 1240 KASL in Newcastle, WY.

An STAA member since March, McKamey will be broadcasting play-by-play for Newcastle High School, hosting a morning air shift and helping with production.

“I will also be starting their live video sports streaming this winter,” says McKamey.

While this is McKamey’s first full-time radio job, he already has considerable experience. He performed a variety of on-air roles at Central Wyoming College and has done freelance play-by-play in Wyoming for the past two years. In total, McKamey has more than 1,000 hours of on-air experience – half of it in play-by-play.

“I’m excited that I’ve landed my first full-time job, and the tips and guides on the STAA website helped me in my path to employment, so I am thankful for that,” says McKamey.

“I’m looking forward to my continuing journey in this crazy world of sports broadcasting!”
