(January 20, 2014) Tyler Media has added former St. Louis sportscaster Zach McCrite to The Franchise 107.7 FM’s afternoon drive show, “Casillas & Company,” with Tony Casillas. McCrite, an STAA client who previously worked at 101 ESPN/St. Louis, has more than 18 years of TV and radio experience.
David Garrett, the current co-host of “Casillas & Company,” will be expanding his role with The Franchise to be primary show host of 7-9 p.m. programming. Garrett also will lead The Franchise’s pregame and postgame Oklahoma City Thunder coverage.
McCrite, a graduate of Indiana University Southeast, was dropped from 101 ESPN in November during programming changes at the station. For the past two years, he has been on the Talkers Magazine Top 100 Sports Talk Show Hosts in America list. His new competition on the Sports Animal radio network, Jim Traber, also ranks on the list.
In the fall Arbitron ratings book, the Sports Animal ranked fourth in afternoon drive in the coveted 25 to 54 demographic and The Franchise was No. 12.
