It took Kevin Holden little time to land on his feet after losing his job in August. The veteran TV sports anchor/reporter is the new sports director at WNCN CBS 17 in Raleigh, NC.

Holden is a 27-year veteran of the sports broadcasting industry. He joined STAA in 2018. Holden was told in August his contract as sports director at WDJT TV in Milwaukee, WI was not being renewed. He’d been in the role since 2009.

Holden started in sports television in 1997. Besides Milwaukee, his resume includes stops in Orlando, FL Austin and Houston, TX; Tupelo, MS; and Dalton, GA. And though not a native Spanish speaker, he dabbled in Spanish play-by-play for 13 Milwaukee Brewers games and many Green Bay Packers preseason games.
