Sports fans have had a void when it comes to radio, but that will soon end with a new all sports 24/7, Pensacola Sports News and SEC Sports Talk Programming show.

Friday Pensacola Sports Radio, LLC announced 1450AM (WBSR) will now become the new home of ESPN Radio, as 1450 AM/101.1 FM ESPN Pensacola, on August 8.

The station will become Pensacola’s only all-sports radio facility and features programming from world sports leader ESPN and other prestigious sports affiliations.

“We are excited to be able to move the legendary ESPN Radio brand into the Pensacola market,” said Doug McAllister, president Pensacola Sports Radio, LLC. “Pensacola is rich in sports. The community is loaded with former and present sports talent and stories. We look forward to providing the area with the local sports coverage “they asked to hear,” and we’re extremely excited to bring ESPN programming into people’s homes, cars and offices.

“Our goal is to be the best sports radio station on the Gulf Coast. Our plans include; high school football games, affiliations with professional and collegiate football teams, daily recaps and previews of local sports scores and extensive coverage of the ever-changing weather conditions. When you have a passion for sports, radio, and your community, it becomes real easy to get excited about the new 1450 AM/101.1 FM ESPN Pensacola.”
