MLB Network hires three

MLB NetworkThe MLB Network on Monday announced the hiring of three studio hosts and reporters, including Alanna Rizzo, who used to work as a weekend sports anchor and reporter for WISC-TV (Channel 3) in Madison.

Rizzo joined the MLB Network from ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain, where she co-hosted “Rockies All Access,” reported on Colorado Rockies telecasts, served as a sideline reporter for the telecasts of University of Colorado basketball games, University of Denver basketball and hockey, as well as high school football games.

Rizzo is a native of Colorado, and has both a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Colorado in broadcast journalism.

MLB Network also hired Lauren Shehadi, formerly of and CBS Sports Network, and Scott Braun, formerly of ESPN and CBS Sports Network.
