Alpha Broadcasting announced Friday that 750AM The Game’s (KXTG) “The Bald-Faced Truth” host John Canzano has been signed to a multi-year contract extension.

The Bald-Faced Truth radio show airs weekdays 3-6 pm and has been on The Game (KXTG) since the inception of the station in May 2008.

In addition to his radio show, Canzano currently serves as the lead sports columnist for The Oregonian and works as a regular sports commentator for KGW-TV.

Canzano has been named National Sports Columnist of the Year by the Associated Press Sports Editors, the Press Club of Atlantic City and Society of Professional Journalists in his career. He’s worked at six different newspapers as a reporter and columnist and is widely recognized as the most influential sports journalist in the state.

Alpha Broadcasting’s Director of Programming, Scott Mahalick said, “We’re proud to have the premiere sports authority in the northwest anchoring 750AM The Game.”

Canzano is also the founder of the Bald Faced Truth Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit that helps children participate in music, art, sports and other co-curricular activities.

Said Canzano: “Sports talk listeners of the Bald Faced Truth radio show are smart, educated, good looking, influential and relevant. I love my audience, my sponsors, and this station.

“I’m staying right here because The Game is the place to be. Period.”
