(February 11, 2014) STAA client Jeff Bowe will be spending the summer in Maine. Bowe has been hired as the Director of Broadcasting and Media for the Sanford Mainers.
The Mainers play in the New England Collegiate baseball league.
“I am looking forward to be in a town that loves baseball. In my previous broadcasting experience I have been in big markets like San Jose or Los Angeles where so much of the sports focus is on the professional teams,” Bowe says.
Bowe is currently wrapping up the California Winter Baseball League season as the broadcaster for the Palm Springs Power. He was previously the football sideline reporter for San Jose State University, his alma mater.
“This opportunity was made possible by STAA,” says Bowe. “If it was not for their job forums I would have never heard about this position. I am extremely grateful and appreciative of what [STAA CEO] Jon Chelesnik does. This will be the second time I have found an exciting opportunity through STAA!”
Bowe recognizes the valuable experience the Mainers position holds. He is eager to take on the responsibilities and excitement the summer season promises.
“The Mainers are a family fun atmosphere, the best summer time entertainment and I can’t wait to see how Sanford embraces the ball club. Traveling to a new city and the east coast, a place I have not been since I was very little, is also exciting.
“I contacted the Mainers and found them as an interesting opportunity because of the multitude of responsibilities involved in this position and the valuable experience I will gain from being a part of the team.”
“I have to thank the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America for their amazing services!”
