(February 19, 2014) After spending each of the past two seasons as a broadcasting assistant, Keaton Gillogly has his first No.1 job in affiliated baseball. An STAA client, Gillogly has been named the Director of Broadcasting for the Modesto Nuts.
The Nuts are the Class A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. Gillogly moves to California after spending last summer with the Kane County Cougars, the single A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Prior to his work with Kane County, Gillogly spent the previous three summers calling baseball games for the Lansing Lugnuts (Midwest League), the Gary SouthShore RailCats (American Association) and the Green Bay Bullfrogs (Northwoods League).
“We are excited to add Keaton to the front office staff,” said Modesto Nuts General Manager Tyler Richardson. “His broadcast talent and enthusiasm makes it clear to see why he came so highly recommended.”
A native of Chicago, Gillogly earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Media from Valparaiso University where he broadcast men’s and women’s basketball, football, volleyball, baseball, softball and soccer for WVUR.
