Longtime STAA members Gary Hill and Alex Cohen will be spending much of the coming summers in Major League Baseball broadcast booths.

Hill (pictured far left) has been the Seattle Mariners third radio voice for the past many seasons. Now he’s joining Rick Rizzs in the starting lineup. Cohen will be full-time backup on Chicago Cubs telecasts on Marquee Sports Network. He’s been the voice of Chicago’s Triple-A affiliate in Iowa the past six seasons.

Both Hill and Cohen joined STAA in the early 2010s.

Hill’s time in Seattle goes back far enough that he is a former studio host for the Seattle SuperSonics. His play-by-play resume includes the WNBA’s Seattle Storm, Washington Huskies basketball and baseball, and Seattle University and University of Puget Sound athletics.

In addition to his time with the Iowa Cubs, Cohen has been a fill-in broadcaster on Chicago Cubs TV and has called games for various NCAA Division I games. His baseball broadcasting career started with the independent Gateway Grizzlies in 2011.
