“Nick(December 10, 2013) Nick Franck has already picked up his first gift of the holiday season: a new sports broadcasting job. An STAA client, Franck is joining KQDS Fox 21 in Duluth, MN as a sports reporter / weekend sports anchor.

“This is an amazing opportunity for me to start my career in a great market with a chance to gain valuable experience in an area that covers a wide range of sports,” says Franck.

“It was because of STAA that I found out and got the job, so thank you!”

STAA emailed the job lead to clients on November 20th. Once Franck applied, the process moved quickly. “I got the initial call from the sports director on Monday. Got a call from the news director on Tuesday. Hired on Thursday,” he says.

A 2013 graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication at Arizona State University, Franck brings impressive media credentials to the table. Earlier this year, he placed third in the national Hearst Award competition for radio news reporting. He also gained considerable anchoring and reporting experience on ASU’s campus TV station. Now, Franck is excited to apply what he’s learned in the professional world. “It’s what I’ve wanted to do my whole life and now I have a chance to start.

“Thank you [STAA] for your awesome website! It helped my get a job.”
