Dustin Daniel Mustangs new radio voice

dustin danielDustin Daniel is moving 220 east for his next baseball play-by-play opportunity. An STAA member, Daniel is the new voice of the Billings Mustangs baseball.

The Mustangs are the Pioneer League Rookie affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

In addition to broadcasting all 76 Mustangs games, Daniel will serve as the media liaison for the team. Daniel moves to Billings after spending the last two seasons serving in the same position for the Helena Brewers, also of the Pioneer League.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to announce Dustin as the new voice of the Billings Mustangs,” said Gary Roller, Mustangs General Manager. “He is a professional in every sense of the word and an incredibly talented broadcaster. Dustin’s experience in the Pioneer League over the past two seasons will provide him with both a comfort level and a foundation to deliver an insightful, informative and entertaining broadcast each and every night. We’re fortunate to have him as part of our management team and we look forward to working with him throughout the ’16 season.”

A graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, it will be Daniel’s fourth season in affiliated baseball. He began his broadcasting career with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes of the Northwest League before joining the former ECHL team, the Las Vegas Wranglers. While in Las Vegas, he was a member of the local tournament staff for the HSBC Rugby Sevens Series. Alongside his duties with the Mustangs, Daniel is continuing a three-year career in the news department at ESPN.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Mustangs this summer,” said Daniel. “Becoming a part of such an impressive organization is truly a pleasure. Having witnessed first-hand the dedication the fans have here in Billings, I have no doubt that this will be an exciting summer of baseball at Dehler.”

Daniel takes over for Kyle Riley who had spent the past two seasons in the position after almost a decade serving as the public address announcer at Dehler Park.
