  • Wrote the newsroom's Daybook every evening, which is used by the station's anchors, reporters and producers.
  • Was in constant contact with sources: law enforcement, county prosecutors, city administrators, Mayors, school superintendents, business leaders and regular citizens.
  • Oversaw the station's court coverage, submitting camera requests and staying on top of all major court developments.
  • Earned, along with reporter Lucas Geisler, the 2016 Kansas City Press Club's Heart of America Bronze Award for beat reporting. The award was for our detailed, daily coverage of the Cody Baker murder trial and case in Columbia.
  • Earned, along with reporter Ashley Strohmier, the 2015 Kansas City Press Club's Heart of America Silver Award for investigative reporting. The award was for a series called "Glitch in the System".
