Clark new SD at Freed AM

Zach Clark(March 8, 2013) Zach Clark is excited for his first full-time broadcasting job. An STAA client, Clark has been hired as Sports Director and Play-by-Play Broadcaster at Freed AM near Hot Springs, AR.

Clark will be responsible for sports on all four of Freed’s stations.

“This opportunity could not be a better fit for me,” Clark says. “I get to work in a variety of capacities as the Sports Director with a station, and a company, that is growing in the sports market. I have my own morning show in which I cover things from local high school sports to the Arkansas Razorbacks to national sports news, I host a number of coaches shows and there is a large amount of play-by-play involved.

“I get to learn and grow in a variety of directions, which can only help me succeed not only here in southwest Arkansas, but going forward with my career in the future.”

Clark learned of the opportunity through STAA. “A station in southwest Arkansas was flipping formats from Christian talk/gospel to sports talk. The station was in need of a Sports Director, show host and play-by-play talent. The job was listed through STAA and the rest, as corny as it is, is history.”

A 2012 graduate of the University of Arizona, Clark joined has been an STAA client since May. Most recently, he has been broadcasting play-by-play for high school sports in Romeo, MI.

“STAA has been instrumental in my growth as a sportscaster and in landing employment. Not only are the daily job openings enormous, but also the tools that STAA provides to help me hone my craft as a sportscaster are truly invaluable. I will certainly be sticking with STAA as my career progresses with time.
