(June 16, 2014) Burch Antley loves soccer, so his next sportscasting job will be especially fun. An STAA client, Antley will be broadcasting the Clash of the Carolina’s High School All-Star match on July 12 in Charleston.
The broadcast will air on NSCAA-TV, the online streaming channel for the National Soccer Coaches of America Association. It’s being produced by Tourbeau Sports.
“I would not have gotten this opportunity if I was not an STAA client. Only one month as being a client and I have landed a great freelance [job].”
Since 2009, Antley has been the lead play-by-play announcer for NFHS Network video broadcasts of South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) championship sports. The events are distributed online and via digital cable on-demand. Select events air on Time Warner Cable in North and South Carolina.
Antley has broadcast the state soccer finals in four classes every year since 2010. He does high school football for Time Warner Cable and has been broadcasting play-by-play of various sports since 1993.
