Broadcast Assistant(s), Fayetteville Marksmen

#1 Post by Jon Chelesnik » Thu Oct 17, 2019 11:36 am

The Fayetteville (N.C.) Marksmen hockey team, proud members of the Southern Professional Hockey League, are searching a passionate, hard-working, up-and-coming broadcaster to join their broadcast team for the 2019-2020 SPHL season.

The Broadcast Assistant will be expected to perform whatever tasks are needed to aid, improve, and grow the broadcast in quality, content, and information. The Broadcast Assistant will serve directly under the Primary Play-by-Play Broadcaster, and be expected to create and update Games Notes Packages, perform interviews and pieces for on-air content, and be a professional, readily-available broadcaster at any given time. This may include Play-by-Play fill-ins, Color Commentary, Pregame / Post-Game / Intermission Hosting, Between the Bench reporting, and more.

This is an unpaid, intern/volunteer-based position with work being primarily performed during the 28 home games, played at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Being local is a definite plus in our search, as well as previous experience in broadcast, broadcast production, social media, graphic design, and Game Note Package creation. Broadcast Assistant(s) will be credited as being part of the broadcast team, have access to the archives for their personal usage, and will be able to create a professional hockey portfolio for themselves.

Please indicate in your cover letter you learned of this opportunity through Sportscasters Talent Agency of America. Send demo and resume to:
