Lake County Corn Dogs No. 2

#1 Post by Jon Chelesnik » Tue Apr 02, 2024 11:00 am

The Lake Country Corn Dogs (summer collegiate baseball) is accepting applications for a Broadcasting and Media Relations Assistant.

This summer internship opportunity for the Corn Dogs’ 2024 season offers hands-on experience in all aspects of broadcasting and media relations. The internship is available for college credit and college students pursuing a career in broadcasting or a related field are encouraged to apply. This internship is currently available for Summer 2024 (May through August) for academic credit only.

The broadcasting internship requires attendance at every home game and some away games. The broadcaster will receive three innings of play-by-play experience at each game, and also be a part of the pre/post-game shows interviewing coaches and players. The Corn Dogs believe the best way for broadcasters to develop and grow is to receive significant play-by-play repetition and opportunities, which is a priority of this internship.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

* Serve as the color commentator for the Corn Dogs alongside our play-by-play broadcaster.
* Assume play-by-play duties for three innings per game.
* Develop a familiarity with equipment used for broadcasts.
* Assist with game recaps, game notes, statistics, and media relations.
* Other duties as assigned.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class. Note, this is an unpaid position, offering valuable experience for aspiring sports broadcasters and an opportunity to be heard on radio and streaming TV services.

Please indicate in your cover letter you learned of this opportunity through Sportscasters Talent Agency of America. Send demo and resume to:
