Cowlitz Black Bears No. 1 -- POSITION FILLED

The  Cowlitz  Black Bears and Ridgefield Raptors of the summer collegiate West Coast League are accepting applications for a Director of Broadcasting/Media Relations.

Duties Include:

* Provide play-by-play commentary during all Black Bears home & away games during the 2023 season.

* Write & post recap stories after all Black Bears games. Ensure game recaps are posted in a timely fashion and are accurate and professionally crafted.

* Assist with web and media relations duties after all home and away games, including but not limited to website updating, media updates and social media posting.

* Work closely with Media Intern team to create multimedia features. Assist interns in securing interviews and other information and segments as needed.

* In anticipation of the season, work with the Marketing team to produce content to be shared with local media, including but not limited to: player press releases and highlights, feature stories promoting the team and franchise, etc. Produce segments during road trips to have our marketing team post

Manage rosters daily for adjustments and distribution to internal members of organization in a timely fashion

Be prepared to discuss software/app experience: Microsoft office, basic adobe suite (specifically photoshop), Streaming setup experience, Hootsuite

Minimum Requirements:

* At least one season of play-by-play experience with a collegiate level organization (baseball preferred)
* Ability to travel to Longview or Ridgefield , WA
* Availability between roughly May 27 and August 20, 2024
* Technical knowledge of how to set up a streaming broadcast using a variety of mediums

Compensation:

• Varies by experience
