It’s about time to start getting football demos made and I was wondering something Jon, or Tom Boman. You normally ask for 8 UNEDITED minutes of audio for a demo. What about editing out a commercial break? My football sample I’d like to use this year is about 3 minutes long and then the end of the quarter happens. Then the touchdown drive resumes after the start of the 4th quarter. Is it ok to edit out only the commercial break and use 8 minutes broken up by the break? I would guess the same would apply to other sports. Maybe there are 8 great minutes, but a coach’s time out in hoops or a pitching change in baseball happen during that span. Can that break be edited out and still used? Just wanting to be clear as we enter job search season. Thanks!

Re: Demos
I'm so sorry for not noticing your question sooner.
Yes, it is totally acceptable to use a segment in which you've edited out a commercial. You can keep the toss to break and the rejoin -- just eliminate the commercials themselves.
Please be sure to let me know if you have more questions. I promise to be more vigilant!
