The Cowlitz Black Bears are accepting applications for a Director of Broadcasting/Media Relations.

The Black Bears play in the summer collegiate West Coast League.

Duties include:

* Provide play-by-play commentary during all Black Bears home & away games during the 2021 season.
* Write & post recap stories after all 27 Black Bears away games. Work to ensure recaps are posted in a timely fashion and are accurate and professionally crafted.
* Assist with web and media relations duties after all home and away games, including but not limited to website updating, media updates and social media posting.
* Work closely with the Black Bears Media Intern team to create multimedia features.
* Assist interns in securing interviews and other information as needed.
* Assist in the planning and execution of the 2021 Media Day (to be held the first week of the 2021 season at Story Field). This project will include, but not be limited to, the following outreach to local media and coordination of players and coach interviews with local media.
* In anticipation of the season, work with the Black Bears Marketing team to produce content to be shared with local media, including but not limited to: player press releases and highlights, feature stories promoting the team and franchise, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

* At least one season of play-by-play experience with a collegiate level organization (baseball preferred)
* Ability to travel to Cowlitz, WA
* Availability between May 28 and August 20, 2018
* Technical knowledge of how to set up a radio broadcast using a variety of mediums (Skype, telephone, etc.)
