KAWE/KAWB-TV in Brainerd, MN is accepting tapes for an entry-level news/sports reporter opening.

This is a very challenging, and rewarding position at a station recently nominated for an Upper Midwest Emmy for station excellence.

You must be able to shoot, edit, and write your own stories. Hands-on internship experience is a plus. You must also know how to generate quality local stories and know how to work your beats. This reporter will cover news/sports stories, and will also shoot sports highlights for our newscast. There will be some limited back-up sports anchoring opportunities as well.

This is a great starter station for talented recent graduates. Many of our people have moved on to bigger markets. We are located in the vacation land of Minnesota.

This position is based out of our bureau office in Brainerd, MN.

Total compensation package is 27,000 including benefits. One-year contract.
