Sports Anchor, Fayetteville, AR

KNWA-TV/KFTA is Fayetteville, AR has an opening for a Sports Anchor.

We take sports very seriously in the SEC, and this is a rare opportunity to become a key player on the largest sports team in the State of Arkansas!

This Fayetteville-based talent will anchor coverage for the NBC and FOX affiliates in Northwest Arkansas and the NBC affiliate in Little Rock, as well as set the standard for our sports team on digital and social platforms.

We’re looking for someone with significant experience in the field, at the anchor desk, on digital, and who knows how to lead. This is not an entry level position. This role requires someone with the ability to lead and develop further our strong sports presence across Arkansas.

The Pig Trail Nation is committed to covering the Razorbacks at home and on the road. We're live at every away football game. SEC Tournaments? We're there. College World Series? You better believe it.

If all you can do is play-by-play and locker room interviews, don't bother applying. We need a polished anchor with an energetic personality, a creative storyteller, a social media rock star, and - above all - a leader. You'll be expected to develop relationships with contacts, dig up story ideas, and follow and break the biggest sports stories in Arkansas. After all, sports IS news in the Natural State!

This is not a pit stop. We’re looking for someone who will be committed to the Pig Trail Nation brand and to building strong ties in Arkansas.s

Please indicate in your cover letter you learned of this opportunity through Sportscasters Talent Agency of America. Send demo and resume to:
