CBS 7 KOSA-TV in Odessa, TX has an opening for a Sports Director/Anchor.

CBS 7 News is the top-rated, long-time news leader in west Texas and southeastern New Mexico.

Based in Midland/Odessa, we pride ourselves in being the dominant player in a highly competitive market where there is never a shortage of news that impacts people on the regional level, throughout the state of Texas and very often on the national stage.

Successful candidate will be responsible for producing and anchoring LOCAL sportscasts at 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm, as well and shooting, writing and editing local sports stories. This is the home of “Friday Night Lights,” so we’re looking for someone who has a passion for high school sports. During football season, we throw everything we got at covering local high school games Friday nights. Then it’s off to Lubbock on Saturdays for Texas Tech football. This person is also expected to be able to do compelling live shots, post stories on line and on social media, and enterprise story ideas viewers can only see on our stations.

Experience with non-linear editing a plus.
