WBNG-TV, the CBS affiliate in Binghamton, NY, is looking for its next sports director.

The position oversees the department as the chief sports journalist and content producer.

You must be willing and able to do it all to be our next sports leader. We need you to lead the way on all station platforms from television to social media. This position also requires you to anchor, shoot, write, edit, produce, and coordinate coverage.

One of the best parts of this job is getting to cover it all. Binghamton has the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, Binghamton Devils and the NCAA Division I Bearcats.

WBNG is also the home to the market’s best high school and outdoors sports coverage.

This is not an entry-level position. Ideal candidate has anchoring and reporting experience and now wants to connect with the audience on an even greater level.

The current WBNG sports staff:

Director Larry Burneal (Baldwin-Wallace and Syracuse, who has been at the station for three years.

Anchor/Reporter Jacob Seus (Missouri). Joined the station last August.

Weeknight News Anchor/Sports Reporter Michael Swartz (Ithaca).
