105.7 The Fan WSSP in Milwaukee, WI is accepting applications for a Sports Director.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Reports to the Market Manager.
* Responsible for the complete supervision and overall performance of all local broadcast, digital & social content including RADIO.COM integration.
* Responsible for adherence and compliance to Company program standards and FCC regulations.
* Establish and communicate programming and content goals and vision, and then clearly measure their results.
* Recruits, manages and coaches on-air talent, contributors, full and part-time content producers and operations staff.
* Engages in near and long term planning with an emphasis on growing audience and maximizing ROI.
* Works closely with sales management and account executives on revenue development tied to content.
* Oversees all other aspects of brand presence, promotional engagement and remote broadcasts.
Qualifications:
* Substantial program director/assistant program director experience within Sports or News/Talk is required.
* Knowledge of FCC rules.
* Experience working with high profile talent and talent contracts.
* Experience with syndicated programming.
* Talk show hosting experience preferred but not required.
