Mississippi Sea Wolves -- JOB NOT OPEN

The Mississippi Sea Wolves are looking for a Director of Communications and Broadcasting.

This person will oversee all communications, media relations, website management and game broadcasting. This description is not all encompassing.

The following lists the primary essential functions of this position. This description may not be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
• All local and national media relations.
• Write all press releases.
• Aggressively pursue television, newspaper, radio and magazine coverage of the team.
• Management of all aspects of the team’s website.
• Make public speaking appearances throughout the region.
• Play by play and color analyst of all game broadcasts on B2 Networks and B2livetv.com
• Format, host and produce a weekly coach’s television show.
• Prepare game notes.
• Manage the press box operation on game nights.
• Recruit and manage a staff of interns.
• Some sponsorship and ticket sales during the off-season.
• Manage all off-ice officials.
• Other duties as assigned by the President and or General Manager.

• Minimum of one-year experience in broadcasting and communications.
• Above average writing skills.
• Strong knowledge of computer programs.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and to self motivate.
• Ability to handle multiple projects well.
• Demonstrated flexibility and creative problem solving skills.
• Above average professional presentation.
• Significant hockey knowledge from a broadcasting standpoint.
• General knowledge of radio board operations.
• General knowledge of video editing and production.
