Anyone with any intel on this opening? $70k is a big chunk of change to be paying someone not doing football and/or MBB, especially when you're already paying two different guys to do those two jobs. Hate to speculate, but does this mean one or both of those jobs are opening? I've heard they have a bit of mess there with their multi-media deal falling through, etc. Anyone know anything?

Nebraska is, indeed, bringing the broadcasts in-house.

This position includes baseball play-by-play and possibly football sidelines.

We're hearing the person who has held the position is a strong candidate, but not a certainty, to keep it.

We're hearing more than 200 folks applied for this position. Between 12-18 were chosen for Zoom interviews. Most of those took place last week. The final few are this week.

Congratulations to Jessica Coody, the newest member of the Huskers broadcast team.

Coody spent the last nine seasons with The University of Oklahoma Athletics department where she served as a sideline/digital reporter, television/radio host, play-by-play announcer and feature producer.
