90 Days
This is a place where you can write about the things you are grateful for within your career or outside of your career
I will go first.
I am grateful that I get to see young people change into young adults. I get to watch them find success and thus I find success.

Re: 90 Days
Paul -- thank you for starting this thread. I'm guessing it was inspired by this week's STAA blog post.
The challenge I posed was this: Every day for the next 90 days, express gratitude for your career. Either speak it or write it down. After that, the change in your mindset will become permanent. When it does, it will open new doors in your career.

I am grateful for the daily inspiration I receive watching people pursue their sportscasting goals.

Re: 90 Days
Today I am grateful for the career I had in sports broadcasting. I have been able to do play by play for Weber State University, where my passion began with Brandon Rush, Salt Lake Community College, where I made great friends like Justin McBride, Dixie State University where I was able to mentor students in the art of broadcasting like Johnny "Thunder". I miss all of those days but I am grateful for the opportunity.

Great topic. I'm thankful that both coaches for the team I cover are easy to work with and provide the access and information I need.

Yesterday I forgot to post.
So today I am thankful for forgiveness and yesterday I was thankful for GOD.

Today I am grateful for coaches....not only do they help you fill time in the post game report but they can help you understand what they are trying to do on the court.
Thanks Coach Parrish and Specketer for your help in teaching me more about basketball.

Hi Paul -- I love to see you sticking with this. Good job!
For everyone -- it isn't mandatory that your daily gratitude be expressed publicly. It can be something you write down for no one to read but yourself, or it can be something you say out loud to yourself while waiting at a stoplight or laying in bed. It doesn't matter how you do it. You just have to do it. It does work.

Re: 90 Days
I have missed 4 days of posts, sorry.
Day 1 I am grateful for the stat guys who help us decipher the game at a glance. Paul Grua was one of the best at this for me. He and I worked together at Weber State University. Last I checked he was the SID for most of the women's sports there. I miss the days of the Paul and Paul show on KWCR.
Day 2 I am thankful for the many many many athletes who answer the same question again and again. "How did you feel about the game?" phrased in so many ways that it becomes mind numbing. Thanks Rakalin Sims for always being honest in your assessment of yourself.
Day 3 When the ball goes into the hoop, you just have to stand back and be appreciative of the efforts of young men and women who spend countless hours working on their shot. Shooters like Brock Reichner; who you would see practicing his shot long after everyone else went home including the coaching staff. Thanks Big Shot Brock!
Today I am indebted to my wonderful wife who supports my radio dreams even though they don't always go where I want them to go and even though the dreams have been dormant for a period of time, she still supports me. Thank you Liz, I love you.

Today I am grateful for a paycheck. The ability to provide for those you love by doing something you love is undeniably the best feeling on this planet.

Agree! I know a lot of people who hate going to work everyday. Few of them are sports broadcasters, though.

Re: 90 Days
Today I am joyful for the time I have with my family. They are truly the most important part of each of our lives. They lift us up, Robyn Bulkley and they are there to hold us when we have disappointments, Elizabeth Bulkley. Today, I am grateful for them. Family doesn't always have to be a blood relative, some of my best family members were guys on the team, even when they didn't know it, they were there for me! Ahmet Tidiane Thanks.
