Fort Wayne Komets (hockey) legendary broadcaster Bob Chase has passed away. He was 90 years old.
He was the voice of the Komets for over 60 years and was a legendary sports voice on WOWO Radio for over 50 years.
Many broadcasters would consider him an icon, a legend, and a role-model. And they should.
He will be missed by many.
RIP Bob.

Sad to see him go, but, man, what a life the guy had. RIP, Chaser.
Last time I saw him was probably 2007? He would have been 81 then, and was still enjoying calling games and even riding the bus.
When I was a rookie announcer in the I back in 1993, he was very nice to me. Always respected him.
What a career.
