The nature of the sports industry:

Within .3 seconds my brain went from "ick," to "sounds like a hot-sheet job opening."

I think you misunderstood his post. I believe he's saying the nature of being in the sports industry is to read something like this and feel sick to your stomach but then realize that it's likely a job opening in the very near future.

That was pretty obviously what he meant.
