Career Obejectives

My overall career goal is to someday co-host or host a daily sports talk show or serve as the sports director for a radio station. I have learned so much in my tenure with the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and I am ready to take the next step in achieving my goals. I also want to have a nationally syndicated sports talk show.

2006- 2009
Presently in the third year of an internship in Broadcasting and Media Relations. Responsibilities include preparing game notes, setting up of radio gear, scoreboard updates throughout the games, as well as being an occasional color commentator. Also handle any league-related problems that arise during a game, such as Pointstreak server problems and Nifty outages. In addition, set up and help run the regular Coaches Show, "Power Play with Scott Muscutt."
For the 2009-2010 season I will be the studio host. It is my responsibility to run all the intermissions as well as the pre and post game show. I create highlights from the previous period and play them back as well as give analysis about the play. I also give talk about the other scores around league as well as what is going on elsewhere in the world of hockey.

I help prepare the broadcast for the game. Game duties include: preparing media packets hosting the pregame show, doing three innings of play by play and color the rest of the game. I update the website as well as handle any media problems that come up during the game. When the team is on the road and I am not traveling with them I help sell group tickets and corporate sponsorships.

Civic and Community Involvement:

I Run sound and take care of various multimedia needs on Sunday mornings at various churches throughout the Shreveport-Bossier area.

Outside Interests

Being from Dallas, Tx I am a big fan of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Stars. I try to see as many games as I can during the regular season. I also enjoy watching our local Arena Football 2 play. I try to see as many movies as I can. During most off weekends and in the summer I enjoy playing golf as much as I can.
