Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
(September 5, 2008) Local sports broadcaster and television personality Bob Tatrn is tuned up about people tuning in to his new radio show.
Tatrn, who's been the play-by-play announcer for high school sporting events in the Valley for 44 years, will host a half-hour radio show 10 a.m. Saturday mornings, beginning this weekend, on WAVL-910 AM, "Praise 910." Tatrn says he will discuss "legends of the sports world" and inspirational sports stories on the program, called "Sports World." Tatrn currently hosts the weekly television show "Sportsline" from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays on Comcast Channel 13. Tatrn began his career in 1959 at WKPA radio in New Kensington. He estimates he's called about 3,000 local high school games, meets and matches. The weekly radio show also can be heard on the Internet, at www.praise910.com. |
